It has PC cutouts now :D, it is easy, but it is tight on formats it only opens it's own, for the cutouts it will open .DXF also so I was wondering if I can convert to other model types somehow? Only saves its own format though...

Hello Edward,
We aren't intentionally locking out other formats but it hasn't been a priority for us since the goal of our software is to provide a free and easy way for our customers to design and order from us. We are planning on developing an export to solidworks and something like IGS or Step files. But this is still several months away.

If you order something from us, we will provide other formats but the conversion process is partly manual so if you have not ordered from us we would have to apply a small charge. You can use the ask a question interface in designer to ask what that charge would be.

Thank you for your interest in our product, I am proud of Protocase Designer but recognize there is still a lot of improvement that could be done.

Sincerely,
