I have questions!! - Water Additives.

Hey all, I could do with a few of these question's answered asap if you guys can help out!

ok so I set my water loop up, but I have no antifreeze ( Pentosin G11 ). I have got different metals in the loop.

I've checked 4 car shops and garage's were I live and none have any G11.

Questions:
1)How long is it " safe " to use my water loop without any Pentosin G11?
2)Why does everyone use Pentosin G11, is it ok to use other antifreeze's? ( The guys in the shops here just have "antifreeze" )

Ok thats all, if I can get question 1 answerd that'd be great. I dont know if I should order some G11 online, or if the water shouldn't be in there without any antifreeze I'll just have to use other stuff.

Antifreeze should be alright, although persoanlly I would order some G11/G12 and wait just to be on the safe side. How come you've got mixed metals in the loop?

Thanks for the speedy reply! So it should be ok for a few days with just distilled water in.

Everything is copper, apart from my res and that's aluminium.
