I have something running that is slowing down my internet

For about a week now my internet has been slow and virgin are adamant that there is no connection fault.

I just started my computer in safe mode and the my connection is back to normal.

Is there a way to easily fault find what service i have running that is causing this?

Yeh i'm using a router but the problem remains without it. As for processess none of them appear dodgy as i did a reformat the other day and i'm pretty diligent about keeping my PC free of viruses and spyware etc.

Yep turns out it was Comodo firewall. That's really annoying because i like having a software firewall so i can pick and choose what connects to the net and i liked Comodo.

Anyone have any advice on how to configure Comodo or recommend me a different firewall altogether?

Reinstalled comodo and without changing any default settings my internet connection immediately slows down.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do as i dont really want to have no firewall running.
 
Yeh the only reason i like having something like comodo is so i can deny net access to certain programs. Windows firewall rarely seems to give me the choice.
