Surely my computer would take off at those speeds and fly out my window?

Hehe, I had that on my old mobo once, I doubt it really ran at 337,500rpm :p

Slightly OT: Do you have the standard chipset heatsink on your mobo?

I ask because I have the standard one and my computer is in a cold room but goes up to 54C/5300rpm while yours is much lower.

Most nF4 chipset fans aren't put on properly (very poor spreading of thermal compound). If you took it off and re applied some AS5 or the like, temps would drop. Mine only hits about 47C under full gaming load with the standard fan and the highest it's ever been was 51C even when I had air cooling in a warm room.

I forgot to do that and thought about it after I had installed everything :(

I had hoped that AS would not make a big difference but unfortunately it does, maybe in the summer when it's hot I will take out the moboand use AS

I take it mine must have been placed on the board 1/2 decently then? My computer is backed up to a radiator which was on full all yesterday. Its the standard chipset fan on the board. (The radiator is pumping out heat but i have a towel over most of it as i dont have a towel rack, energy efficient i know) :o
