1) Which is the better interface for headset/microphone? I.e clarity, ease of use, hotswapability 3.5m or USB?

2) Has the SP1 for Vista removed the 3.25GB RAM limit on the 32bit versions?

Thanks

hmm ide probibly go with the 3.5mm jack plugs being better personally, as you can get gold plated connectors etc...which are better quality over a normal USB.

For the second question i think there's still a cap not 100% though.

On Skype, my voice will be crystal then after a while a little static will be audible.

Any ideas what is accountable for this?

I am using a 13 year old 3.5mm microphone, which i assume is to blame.

yeah im sure its getting a tad old...

But I've heard theres quite a few problems with skype with static and it can be caused by internet lag spikes and other connection issues. Do you browse the net and do other things at the same time that may limit banwidth?

but yeah it probibly get a new mic first see if that makes a difference if not ide probibly put it down to a connection issue. Many people do have this problem so dont think your the only one. :D

if i remember correctly, it states your full ram, which would be 4GB...but it says 'Useable RAM: 3.25'..

something along those lines anyway..when I tested 4gb in vista a while ago before i went back to good 'ol XP :)

Oh, sounds fun ¬.¬

I wanted to buy the 8gb/16gb of RAM, alas the 32bit shizz prevents me from doing so.

Oh well
