Hi - please tell me I just did the right thing
I have just ordered the items below to replace my current core bits. This took far too long to decide on I must say as last time it was obvious what I needed to get ... this is a good sign methinks as last time I spent over 300 quid more to get a similar level of performance - relatively speaking of course! I will run this on stock air cooling initially and then transfer the water bits over .... I nearly went dual GPU this time (My X1900XT cost me £300 lasttime round !!!!) as costs seemed more manageable with 2x8800GTs in toe and there seems to be great possibilities on the horizon that may muller an sli/Xfire setup and I would be hacked if I were to go dual now ... but I want this in action over the holiday period.
Abit IP35 Pro (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 "LGA775 Conroe" 1.86GHz
OcUK 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit
OcUK GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - OEM
