7:30 this morning my PC was working fine,
Went to work for a hlaf day and when i get home the PC is giving me the 'no input signal' but the PC is still running (fans etc still going)

Checked all external cables, tryed another monitor, and tryed my monitor on another system.

Force it off and start again same display and no beeps.

I have since stripped it down and can not get to the bottom of the problam.

It is a dual xeon in a asus pch-dl

I have tested with 1 cpu at a time, still nothing, no display, no beeps.

What has puzzeled me most was that the PC was still sat there humming away when i got home,
If the board or a CPU had gone i would have expected it to be off?

The last thing i have done is leave it running for 20mins with 1 cpu and and graphics card, (i have tested with 3 differant cards - 2agp 1 pci)
After 20 mins the north bridge heatsink as expected is hot,
how ever the CPU and VRM heatsinks are both cold.
Now is this down to the fact the CPU is dead and so not calling for any power (but whats the cahnce of both CPU's dieing?)
Or as i am hoping is it down to the PSU not feeding any power to the VRM and onto the CPU?

I am taking the PSU to work in the morning hoping i can get it tested by our electrician, but unfortunatly i dont have another PSU with the correct conections for the board to try.

Would the VRM still get hot with a dead CPU? have i been unlucky and had both CPU's die? is it more likely to be the board? or does it sound like the PSU?

Hi, i have also just started a similar thread, just noticed yours and i am experiencing the same problem with a different board.. except this was a brand new board, and only lasted 30 mins:S anybody able to help?
