I always keep going back to Diablo 2. I will go sometime without playing it when I finish it but I can't help but to keep going back to it. I'm not going to say it's the best RPG ever even thought it is the best in my opinion.

I bring this topic up because once again I've return to Diablo 2 and I'm loving it just has much has I did when I first played it. I think it's many things such as the insane amount of rares and the ability to create things with the Horadric Cube plus the vast amount of custom development of you character as they level.

I like to make a spell caster Pally to be different with Holey Magic. This time I'm taking the Holey Shock path.

Why do you think it's so addictive and also do you think it should be added to Playstation Network and Xbox Market Place? The Expansion could be purchased separate.

I hear most of the people behind Diablo 2 don't work at Blizzard any more. :(

*cough*Torchlight*cough*

Nah seriously though, Diablo III will get released. Last I heard it was pretty much playable but the play testing was taking ages for game balance to be right. I think thats a good thing obviously, although annoying.

I spent many years playing this game and was the reason of my declined interest at school and studying all together. I quit the game soon after patch 1.11, after losing many 0.9 dupes and pre-lod items on my classic (non-LOD) accounts. It may sound petty, but these items were the only items worth more than 1 SoJ on classic (except for your extremely high rare items). Losing them after having them for years is like losing your characters, which were actually leveled and skilled to suit those items.

Done quite well on LoD too, with the help of converting one of my classic 'mule' characters to expansion, while being full of pre-lod SoJs with no level reqs. But, while being able to trade for most items needed in LoD, I enjoyed classic D2 more. My heart goes to the classic D2.

Well, you have just made me extremely nostalgic and put a smile on my face. I could talk about this game for hours now.

I can't wait to play Diablo 3, but I can't see it fulfilling many people's expectations, especially when the majority of expectations are created by people's nostalgic memories from Diablo and Diablo 2. Blizzard have very large bowls to fill.
