I will make this as basic as possible.
A customer has brought me a laptop running win 7 which had some nasty viruses on which I removed but still had left damage to the OS, so I backed up all their pics and music etc to a folder called patti which I saved to my work pc desktop and it's still there now. I reinstalled 7 and have now put the hard disk back into my pc and firstly copied the folder across first to the public downloads folder. Once the hard disk is put back into the laptop it boots and the folder has vanished!
So I did it again and this time copied it straight to the c: drive and low and behold its vanished again but the 500gb hard disk is now 50% full so I know the files are physically there but not found on win 7.
What the hell is going on here I'm just confused as never have I come across this.
