Look at it another way, if it WAS a black console, then the IR receiver would be far less noticable. That picture as it stands, the IR is made out very clearly.

Certainly doesnt look like a normal one, and doesnt look like shadows to me. Thought the developer ones were black, but maybe not true black?

Ok on a college pc it looks more greyish,
on my home monitor I have the picture set properly, a deeper rich colourset. Hence me thinking it was black
