I spent *a lot* of money on 2x 4GB DDR3 2133MHz in 2009 /2010 or so back when that was fast for ddr3, but I carried it over l used to my 2015 Haswell build up until 2019 when I got a DDR4 system, and it's still in use in HTPC and various project boxes so I've definitely got good value from it!

I bought 32GB of dual ranked low latency (c14) Trident Z Neo two sticks of 16GB, well north of £300...

I remember when I was on 72 pin SIMMS and PC133 was too expensive so people bought PC100... weird how RAM seems to bottom out and then ramp up in price more than other components.
