I know I keep doing this but....

How about something still decent for gaming but costing a lot less, then the wife might be more inclined to be ok with it? (speaking from years of experience) :p

£2k on a computer is stupid. Like really stupid.

Not to get into a quibble but I think this is a bit abrupt to say that its stupid. First off, gaming and computing is almost my main hobby....in fact I can't be bothered. Just didn't like the comment.

Stulid - Is that a MMmm for good :)

Spacemonkey - I'm afraid I have to have that damn 780ti... If you could suggest other cut backs without performance loss, please do :D

Cheers

Like a Boss (if you're from the 90's).

Like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle if your from the 80's.

Thanks Doomedspeed. Your awesome at the builds and put my confused and often crazy mind at ease. That 780ti may find its way back into the build though :)

£1500 or however much money seems like a lot, but when you actually start building money just flies, gets munched away buying cable ties, screws and the like but the outcome is rewarding :D

I cant wait to actually make the purchase, I'm away on a loooong course at the minute and stuck with my laptop. Gaming is gonna be so much better on what ever I buy really but I want it to be something 'special' (just been sick in my mouth a little bit).

All this waiting around is what's confusing me I think. I was even considering a top of the range laptop with a 780M in it the other day :(

A performance level rig is gonna hit £1000- 2000 easily if your speccing properly.
My current system budget started at £1000 and steadily hit the £2000 very quickly.

How about a 290X instead of a 780ti

The Superflower psu in your spec will fit in the Ronin, but it is 200mm long so it might block the bottom cable routing hole.

Added a H100i for better cooling. I am not sure if the H105 will fit the Ronin due to the extra thick rad. If it will then swap it over.

Don't know if you intend to add a 2nd gpu at any time. You could probably put a 550/650W psu in to be honest for a single card setup.

If I was spending £2k it definitely wouldn't look like that. The GPU, monitor, case and cooler would be changed :p. Of course it's all down to personal preference, but one thing is for sure I would stick a 290 inside.
