Sadly it wasnt all that stable but with 1.75vcore going through it using a standard retail heatsink and fan, I didnt think it would be!! :P I need a new cooler.... :P

I didnt leave it like it for long and I kept a very close eye on the temps :) 50C idling isnt good!! :P That's what I aim for at a full load temp!! :P

50c is what i got when i overclocked my 2.80ghz to a 2.82ghz... from 33C to 50C its crazy... good luck 2 you what every you do :)

I've settled it down now to 12x236 as its more than fast enough. I'm just testing stablity at the moment :)

The temps where very high, but that was in the bios as well and I think that puts a little load on the CPU.. What aftermarket heatsink do you suggest?

Even with 1.75Vcore? Wouldnt I need water cooling for that? Trouble is I'm on the limit with the voltages the board gives, memory is maxed out as is the motherboards voltages. There's plently left in the CPU for voltages, but I wonder how far is safe....

Thats what I had to put through it to get it to boot. Otherwise it kept hanging at the bios/start up screen... I did think it was a bit much...

a zalman aero flower(if they do it for you socket(i think they do))
or a sythe ninja

I know they do a AM2 cooler from Zalman but I dont know how good it is? A friend has the 9500 model but I was wondering more about the 9700 model as its a bit bigger and should be better for cooling, shouldnt it?
