I know PS3 games are Region free but...help

Okay so im thinking of importing Resistance 2 CE however im just wondering how does the MP ework will i only be able to play people from USA and not the UK? i dont think it will be an issue but id rather double check

p.s. I forgot to ask would the bonus DVD work or as its counted as video etc im guessing that is region locked?

I have a US CE copy of resistance 2 and not had a problem playing mp with any region.

I would have thought where and who you can play against is more to do with your PSN account rather than the actual game but im no expert

I wonder if someone can clear this up - what happens if there is pay for dlc for r2 in the future? Will you need a us account for the us copy?

Yes DLC is region locked, so with a US game you will need a US PSN account and the ability to buy stuff from the US store.

As others have said, the region you connect to depends on what region you register your PSN ID with. So for example if i were to create a US PSNID i would be able to connect and play on US servers as if i lived there.

The only thing you have to worry about is what region your disk is in order to know what region you should buy DLC from. Once the DLC is downloaded and installed all other region based matters are down to which PSN you are connected to.
