Anyone else had their other half update the facebook status with anything like the above?

Whilst spotting my other half had done this, I asked what it meant and got told it was where she like to put her handbag, to which I replied "Oh is that what it's called nowadays "I got a prompt "**** off!"


I was like..:/

Seems it's the latest sort of craze for women to do in unofficial support of breast cancer.

Cool story and all I know. Just wondered if anyone else has seen their partners update with something like this, and if it raised some form of funny conversation.

I don't have another half, however I see plenty of girls update their status with guff like this.

I kinda feel sorry for them, small things amusing small minds etc.
 
Sounds great - makes no reference to breast cancer whatsoever, so an obviously effective viral marketing campaign eh!

Exactly, it just seems to me a way for women to feel included in some kind of secret club to annoy us men. I would rather have a beer than worry about such drivel. :D
 
I saw that aswell, altho not from my gf, but I was also wondering what it was about, I assumed it was girls expressing their favourite place to have at it! :)
 
How exactly is this in supporting breast cancer?

I'm currently sitting on my arse drinking coffee, does that mean I'm helping fight the war on terror?

If you want to support something give money to a charity or take part in a fund-raiser, help care for terminal patients or hand out leaflets, updating your facebook status is not supporting anything.

Just having a gander on google and apparently it's all about raising breast cancer "awareness"...

Why? I'm pretty sure everyone is fully aware of breast cancer by now, also without looking it up, how would someone who hasn't heard of this know it's to do with breast cancer? It's like going to a football game dressed in a completely blank strip and not cheering anything.
 
Same as the bra one a few months ago, the females put they colour of their bras on their status, I put 'was white now greyish brownish' on my wifes
 
The whole point of it being secretive is so people ask about it . People are more likely to put something on there status which will gain interest from there friends.

"This post is to show i am creating awareness for breast cancer , post on your profile if you want to as well"

This has been done to death with all sorts and as such people have stopped doing it .So a new way was needed and as you lot are talking about it now it is obviously spreading like wildfire. Now you may be thinking yeh but i didn't even know what it meant so what's the point? Well due to its popularity it has had a thread about it on a overclocking forum and all the people in this thread that did not know now do know, So it has had the same effect as it intended.

Girl I used to work with had a status update at 1 in the morning the other night saying something about "Amanda just got taught a new way... WHOA!!" or whatever.
 
If you have ever lost someone close / love your mum / support our boys / like air / poo once a day...then 'Like' this and copy it to your status.
