I found many folders for application that are not installed on my PC anymore is it okay to delete them from this folder? Or do I need to use any special programs do it doe snot mess up my system?

Many thanks in advance

Best way is to rename the folders so like put 1111 on the end of the name. Then see if there are issues. If not you can delete them if there are then all you need to do is take the 1111 off the end of the folder name and it'll work again.

i assume you are using windows xp? if so just delete the application data folder completely. xp will automatically recreate the application data folder and as you use any application that requires a folder in there it will notice it is no longer there and recreate it again. this will ensure that you only have folders in there for applications you use. i do this every 3/4 weeks and is by far the easiest way as sometimes you forget and end up leaving a folder there for months which you no longer need.

if you are using anything before xp don't do this as the os wont automatically recreate the application data folder and the applications will have no where to recreate the folders they require. :)
