Hi everyone,

Just noticed that I've had my PowerMac G5 now for three years, without so much as a hiccup. Trouble free computing from day one. That means three years since I switched from Windows for day to day work! :)

I upped the RAM a month ago to 6.5gb (from 2.5gb) and it feels like a new computer, still quick and runs Leopard and the Adobe CS3 suite like a dream.

Sorry, a pointless thread really, just wanted to share ... I can honestly see me keeping this computer for another 2-3 years.

Think I'll start saving pennies for a new MacPro sometime for the future though! ;)
 
Thats the good think about macs. Despite being a little more expensive initially they last for ages so they are really good value long term. Plus they sell for more as well.
 
Which G5 you got? I have the Dual 2.0GHz with AGP. I got 3 gig of RAM, you think it would benefit from getting even more RAM? My MacBook feels quicker in a lot of things compared to my Powermac.
