Maybe its cos I'm a sad loser or can't stand my workmates, but either way without you all I would have to do some work whilst at work! Now when someone asks me a question I'm constantly saying "I'm busy, one moment!". Always new content to make me laugh on here and get through 11 hours in the office :D

Does everyone else use it from work or do you actually work in the office?

Keep it up!!

P.S - I'll come back cursing you all when I get fired after the IT dept block access to the forums and I smack one of them with a keyboard!!!

I browse while working, but it never lowers my productivity. :p

Yeh, it may be because I have been here for a while and I know that the thread will be here for me at 11pm.

I have to work nights 4 days a month (I support the NHS and they work 24hrs so we have to too!). People post here at all hours of the day! Some strange/scary posts on here at 4am tho!

The posts in GD and SC have got a bit slack lately... not enough confrontation (polite) in SC and too much bully-button-fluff posting in GD.

Other than that the forums get my thumbs up, and I have big thumbs...

This forum is evil when it comes towards exams :(

You need to post in the hardware forums if you do not already, quite often some great debates in them, although of a hardware nature.

(You may post, but I only read one section really.)

thats true, although there was a lot of fanboy stuff going on lately in the graphics card forums (again)

seems to have died down a bit now though

Yeh, I read graphics cards occasionally but hardly ever post, to me it is always the same but faster so has no draw to it.

General hardware in my opinion is the worst section of this place, from a reading point of view; however it is undoubtedly for most people the place where the most help and advice gets dished out.

I used to browse quite a bit from work but hardly at all nowadays. I'm now much busier than when I started (I joined OcUK in my first week at the job following a link from our IT support site) so I don't have that much free time when I'm at my desk.

Of course, it could be because I moved up the office and now sit outside the Boss's office with my back to her door. And she's like a hawk I tell ya, can't count the times she's sneaked up behind me and gone "that doesn't look like work!"

ha, yeah it does get annoying reading the same old "check my spec", "spec me a £800 pc", "x-part doesn't work" etc... but still it's nice to help some people out if you've got some time to spare, and every now and then you get some real good build threads pop up.

the subsections are decent (hardware bits i mean), they're always up to date with technology and as soon as something new is out it tends to make its way here.

as far as the rest of the forums go, you can normally get most of the content of tomorrows papers if your lucky by just scanning through a few threads. (someones died, someones started a war, somebody won the FA cup etc...)

Forums blocked at work, Probably a good thing too!

They blocked access to my www.damnyoudave.co.uk site from work! And I was made to put a disclaimer on it even thought it was nowt to do with them and not hosted at work! :( They can take my website but they'll never take my forum freeeeedom!!!

They are too good at killing time. I'm going to have to give myself a "no OCUK at work day" tomorrow as today I did a grand total of 10 minutes work :o

In my defense I do usually get almost everything done that I'm meant to over the week :p

Without OcUK you would complete all tasks.

Earlier this year it took me a week to write 30 different CV's. :(

I did nothing else but sit at my pc...
