I'm thinking of getting an I-mate JAMin as I use a HP 4700 as my sat nav and could do away with my pda and phone in one swoop. My brother has one and I like the look of it but would like to know if I buy one off the new will it work on the 3 network?

What do u think?

It doesn't include the 3G/UMTS band, so no. Well you won't be using 3G frequencies, you'll just end up being routed through the O2 network, which 3 won't like as it costs them a lot more.

:| this would interest me if they'd dropped the **** Ti processor. Thus, it doesn't, and my next phone as it stands will still be a vario II or a xda atom :) The vario II more so as it has inbuilt 3G, and thus with some of the unlimited data packages will make for a fantastic weapon when out somewhere bored :D

Have a look at the Qtek 9600, it's not out yet but should be out Q2 this year.

It's basically the same, but with a QWERTY keyboard, and 3G :)

Edit, the 9600 will also be branded as the Vario II as stated above.
