It seems that I would actually benefit from having a larger TFT screen, am finding working on a 17 inch screen hard to work on with the amount of things I'm working on.

Browsing net,, e-mails, msn and mixing music, working on my website etc. I've got 2 options

I could

1) Get a second TFT monitor the same as I have now which is a 17 inch LG 1710S

2) Get 20.1 inch wide screen monitor and keep the LG and run the 2.

3) 1 Single 19 inch standard TFT.

Obviously option 1 would be cheapest, but just really looking to see what others think, I can't afford or have the desk space for a 24 inch dell like I'd really like to have sadly.

I think you will find two monitors of any size better than one large one for multitasking and having loads of windows open.

If i were you i'd try and sell the current monitor and get a pair of cheap 19inch ones. Otherwise it will look a little mismatched.

the LG 1710S is no longer in production, i know because the reason i got a 3rd LG1710B was because it was one of the last ones in stock at a competitor due to the new model release (and only £180).

So id get a nice widescreen monitor to pair up with it

I have found a 1710M at a competitor, looks the same just a slightly different spec from what I can see.

Am looking at the Acer 19 inch aswell now. Bit concerned about havong an acer product as I've heard good and bad about them.

Sorta looking at £150, maybe a little bit more. Although I may have to wait a few more months so I can pay for my car lol.
