Hi guys and gals,

might be in the wrong section, but heres the crack, basically due to a change in job suituation i wont be returning to the UK with my GF, instead shes going alone, but i need to setup a cost effective connection.

Basically, i need a company which has a minumum contract of 1 month, provides a free modem (or is that for the offers which have minumum contracts of 12 months?) and needs to be as 2meg+ but cheap.

thing is if i was living with her, we would have got the 8 meg shiznet, but all shes needs it for is msn, and work.

so what do you recommend?
thanks for your help/advice

Go for the Talktalk free broadband if you can wait 5 months or so to get connected.

But you pay for what you get, as i'm finding out. If you want good service and a fast connection you have to pay for it.

Are you happy to pay the activation fee up front? It's ~£47...

Virgin do no 12 month contract plans. I used them for a while when I needed such flexibility & they were reliable.

They do, but if you leave within 12 months, you have to pay the activation fee.

PM me if you want any more details

Bry.

Well, that isn't what most of their customers think - Plusnet are awful.

PM's are disabled on here, too - presumably you wanted to give him your referral code?
