I need a card reader etc.

i am needing a card reader etc for my cam-corder etc. I have pruchased on but its not working it fits into the usb it was only cheep like so im not bothered that it does not work. i am after one to slot into my pc case can any1 advise me what i will need etc. that would be great thanks .
