Hi,

I'm going to be building a media centre in the near future and i'm currently looking for a case to house it in.

I like the look of the Compucase 8k01 but have heard that the power supply is very noisy. Is it best to get this case and change the PSU? If so, which one?

If not, I would like something similar to this style of case for around the same price. I could possibly stretch the budget to around £60 if it's worth it.

I also have a post in the motherboards section if anybodies willing to help wit that as well:

Thanks for your help!

whats the price range mate, like are u wanting sumthing thats spacefull and solid build but yet looks nice .. be more specific with price (:

ive got my itx setup in a Jetway JC125. plenty of space in there for a couple of 2.5" drives, and an optical drive. There is also plenty of space to fit a socket 775 mobo with slimline heatsink/fan.

I had one and its a nice case but a few downs... no card slot space (even half height) unless you want to mod it... noise wasnt an issue for me but if you find it is then there is a passive fanless PSU for that model, cost about another £40 I think.. I know people who've done that swap.

Its certainly a nice looking case. I also modded mine with a 120mm fan fitted to extract air straight off cpu/northbridge to outside... kept it cool n quiet
