I need a chager for a laptop!

Hi Guys, got this 'RM' laptop with no charger, i did borrow a mates universal one but that's gone now, i wanna get a proper fitting one rather than a multi out put one as its for a friend and don't want them playing around and frying the laptop or themselves! - seems to be loads on ebay, but having trouble working out what connector i need





 
It's a standart charger 19v 3.42a with big pin. You could use any harger as long as 19v 3.42a.
 
may be 5.5mm

I ended up buying a universal adaptor and a big pack of end connectors, this way I was almost guarenteed to get the correct connector. :)
 
Yeah .the universal ones are a good buy , I've been using a Kensington one for years on one of my laptops .Came with different fuses and connectors for different voltages.Still working good and does'nt overheat.
 
im gonna be giving this away though, and the person in question is quite young, i can see the voltage getting changed, and my uni charger i got from ebay would NEVER pass a EC check! :D
 
Yes as long as it's a 19v 3.42a charger you should be ok. You should be able to check on the manufactures website for the right make and model and then find out what the charger spec is. Then use purchase off eBay to save money.
 
that's the problem, RM just rebrand them i guess, they have been a pile of crap in helping, quoted me £35 for a new one via email :(
