I know we have a couple of threads with good games listed in them.. but I want a NEW game :)

I might pick up advance wars if I see it cheap but I'm looking at the newer stuff and trying to decide. So far its between -

Mario vs Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis (DS)
Harvest Moon (DS)
LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (DS)
Star Fox Command (DS)
Tenchu: Dark Secret (DS)

Are there any other good (read newish) ones ?

Lol it was my first choice but seems a bit time involving like Animal Crossing (that the gf has stolen :( )

Was quite tempted by

but your probably right, I might order it in if I don't get anymore suggestions by the morning. :)

Ive imported StarFox, its not a bad game, give's you something abit different.


It also has Wifi for some online action ;)

I cant put this damn thing down and when i do play its for at least a couple of hours at a time lol.

Seriously good fun if you`re looking for something different :-)
 
Ive always wanted to play Harvest Mooooooooon. :D

I wanted to play the original when it came out but couldn't find it anywhere.

If i had a DS I'd get Harvest Moooooon! :)
 
Advance Wars is great. I was lucky and got it for £13 new from Tesco, but they no longer stock it.

List the games you do have, so we can tell you what to get:)
 
well if your stuck for a an exceptional game and havent played much gba look no further than minish cap or link to the past.

As for new releases nothing much of recent times has caught my attention on ds. Admittedly I havent played harvest moon ds but the reviews I read werent too great, mainly due to it not being that far off the gba version?

edit also ive been reading that the new pokemon is breaking all sorts of sales records... 2 million copies on release ?!?! it got 35/40 in famjitsu (whatever that jap mag is called) so if your looking to get into that or like the series it looks good. I dont know the release date in the UK tho, could be a US import job (though at the mo its only out in japan).

Is Harvest Moon really that good?

I got Animal Crossing and to be honest, i am a little bored of it now, playing it becomes a chore. Pay off mortgage, dig up fossils for the museum, fishing for the museum, make my room nicer with funiture (which by the way, does nothing at all to the game play, all those bells spent for furniture that's just sits there). I don't see any aim in the game apart from chores.....
 
Harvest Moon is like AC but with an actual plot line. The Witch has sent the Harvest Goddess and all 101 Harvest Sprites to a different world, ultimate aim is to get her back and get married on the way and run a successful farm. It rocks, hard!

Haven't ordered a game yet so will bring it back to life, the gf has almost finished Animal Crossing (had it since US release) so Harvest Moon would suit her and I probably would never see it again :(

Disliked Trauma Centre for the record, got stuck and never passed the level so it annoys me. Every now and then I try again and fail :mad:

Regarding Harvest Moon I really find there simply isnt enough time in the day to do everything you need to do.
My char collapses at the end of every day just trying to keep the farm afloat.

Tragedy struck last night taking the lives of 2 sheep and cow that i`d grown quite close to . I had to put the game down for a couple of hours as i felt totally gutted :p (seriously i did lol)

And those damn sprites still turn up for work (watering) even when its bloody raining argh !

Very embarrasing to say :p

Animal Crossing mortgage will be paid before the week is out on the biggest house, she has all the fruit, a lot of the furniture sets, all the dinosaur fossils, I caught most of the fish etc etc so unless you repeat a lot of the same tasks it will be months before you get anything new :)
