Just put my 7950 on ebay barely 2 hours ago with a cheeky BIN of £300... Someone has only gone and snapped it up!!!

Gotta empty my loop and get that stock cooler back on ASAP.

Problem is that I now need a card and I hadn't really gave it much thought as to what next.

I guess the only logical step is the 280x isn't it? Which one? I intend to WC it so a suitable block needs to exist :D

Would like to get a board and block for less than £350 ideally :)

agreed & I have a 290pro!

Your not going get a budget Radeon right now at a decent price (I got my sapphire 290 for 300). If you look at a 290 it will have a ref cooler, it will run hot and just over that threshold of too loud for comfort.

It's an awesome card though, overclocks like nuts and is cheap as chips for what you get.

So, a 290 at the 300 mark is a good buy as you can get a lot of performance for the money BUT if you can pickup a 780 for 300 youll get similar performance and a quieter card. Depends if you want brand new really

you'll receive 259.20 before postage, so realistically around 250 in the end.

those prices are about right, slighly more for 290 i'd say.

Sold for 300 + 12 p&P (tracked and insured shouldn't be more than that will it)
And eBay will take 10% I think leaving 270 I'm my sky rocket won't it?
I'll stick the block up on here in the MM in the coming days.

The 280x is the slowest card of the 3 and also all of the waterblocks seem to be sold out.
The 290x is probably going to be too expensive.
That leaves a used 780, which models specifically should I be looking for or avoiding?

well, no.

and the insertion fee is 40p.

There's no need to get cocky, I didn't know that's why I was asking. Foolishly hoping you might actually explain what you meant instead of just being wrong.

that's strange. i was always charged 40p, even their fees explanation site quotes 40p.

All categories, except those listed below
£0.40

check any ebay fees calculator, your answer is there.

Id prefer to get a 290 out of those but if you can get a used 780 cheaper than 290 then get that. Seen as your intending on water-cooling heat and noise shouldn't be an issue.
