With the CM690 currently sitting on my desk I don't have a whole lot of room so the time has come (for the time being) for me to stick all my gubbings in something smaller.

I've been looking at the BitFenix Prodigy Mini-Itx but the problem being sourcing a cheapish mini-itx board that will handle a decent overclock & a 78/7950 gpu.

So what say you? What else is there in this size range?
I'd happily look at something slightly bigger if I need too.
If it's small and I don't need to change my MB then win win :)

So you want a small case that looks good, can hold top end hardware, an ITX motherboard that's not only cheap but can also overclock. Talk about having your cake and eat it.

The BitFenix Prodigy is a bit of a revelation for custom system builders, you can even watercool a whole rig without the need for external rads. I notice the Sliverstone Tower is also on offer today so be sure to check it out.

Your not going to get a dirt cheap ITX board, one of the reasons why the price is high is that there not manufactured in the sort of quantities that regular boards are which makes them a somewhat niche product, basically your paying for the convenience of having a small footprint.

Hi Freddie,
Yes you're right I do want/expect a lot... Maybe too much you reckon?

As nice as the Silverstone Tower is it's a bit over the budget I was looking at unfortunately. The BitFenix is right on the money.

I would like something with removeable grills/mesh as I have the idea of modding it a little for a bit more colour. I could do this with my CM690 but seems pointless as I want a smaller case.

Thanks for the info on the ITX boards... So what boards will give me what I need (decent overclock) ?

Thanks :)

What is the budget? uATX can be done slightly cheaper than mini-ITX although it will be a bit bigger. Far more options of mobo going uATX as well...

In that case (lol) get the BitFenix, there's not a lot of competition in this form factor and the Prodigy is far and above the best in it's class.

As for ITX I suggest you give this a look over. You should be able to get a 3570K at least to 4.3-4.4Ghz without having to touch the voltage on any of these boards.
