I had a faulty PSU couple year back, it got replaced but it's playing up again. I want to get a completely new PSU and have one in mind but want to be sure it'll be compatible for my build and PC use.

I also want to know what GPU will be compatible for this that is an upgrade my what I currently have too.

Finally, is there anything wrong with my build? Two PSU failures for me in 6 years can't be normal can it?

My current build:

AMD Ryzen 9 3900X Twelve Core 4.6GHz (Socket AM4) Processor
MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI (AMD AM4) DDR4 X570 Chipset ATX Motherboard
Corsair Hydro Series H150i PRO RGB Performance Liquid Cooler - 360mm (CW-9060031-WW)
Team Group Vulcan T-Force 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C16 3000MHz Dual Channel Kit - Grey (TLGD432G3
Asus GeForce RTX 2080 Super EVO OC 8192MB GDDR6 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Corsair Force MP600 series 2TB NVMe PCIe Gen4 M.2 Solid State Drive (CSSD-F2000GBMP600)
TeamGroup 1TB L5 Lite SSD 2.5" SATA 6Gbps 3D NAND Solid State Drive

PSU in mind: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/msi-...000w-80-plus-gold-power-supply-ca-00w-ms.html

Thankyou for any input, even if it's negative haha

For cheap ones, possibly. What is your home power like?

I wouldn't look at less than a 4070 Super or 7800 XT, but ideally a 4070 Ti Super or better.
I didn't think the Phantek was cheap. This was between two houses so more likely just bad luck with faulty PSUs or the Phantek one isn't a good quality product.

Could you recommend a good quality PSU then? If it helps, something for gaming that can handle new release AAA games like Alan Wake 2

Thanks for the GPU advice. I'll have a browse. Is it best practice to stick with similar makes? For example, would an MSI GPU be best suited due to having an MSI MB?

Thanks.

Phanteks PSUs are usually made by Seasonic (on a decent platform), so it should have been a good one.

We'd need to know your planned graphics card first, but the one you linked is fine. There's a review here.

Doesn't matter.
