Hello there.
Sorry if this is a bit of a silly question/"we don't have a crystal ball you madman" type question.
I'm more asking as you guys probably know about the history and trend of past graphic cards.
I've recently built a new pc (Minus the GPU) and im now looking to upgrade my 2060 to a .. well, there lies the problem.
My budget is £700.(Read additional for explanation why I can't spend more)
My first instinct was to go for a 4070 super (Maybe a super ti if I got a good sale/deal). However, from what everybody has been saying the 5070 is around the corner (February) so, I decided to wait for this.
However, from what I'm seeing in the past it's been almost impossible to get your hands on a **70 for a good few months and then it's at an often inflated price)
Some say there's a big chance the 5070 will be more like a 5060 due to Nvidia demoting their cards like they (apparently) did with the 3000 and then 4000 series.
I am being inpatient lol
.. is any of the above true or just speculation?
Thank you for any help/advice.

I'm a carer for a family member and I don't really have any disposable income at the moment. Gaming is my only real 'escape' as I can't really leave the house and only get to go 'out' once a month. However a family member has given me some money to build a new pc. I only have £700 left for the gpu.
