i need advice & recommendations!!

Hi everyone,

I’m in the market for a new laptop and was thinking of buying a Asus UL30 as it’s not too expensive (I can get one for under £400) and seems to be getting generally good reviews. I mainly want it for internet usage, Microsoft Office and playing the odd game like Football Manager.

Any opinions on this laptop would be greatly appreciated as would any advice and recommendations on what kind of laptop I should buy as I’m still looking around.

I'm thinking of getting the Acer Aspire 3810TZ. Can be had for around £350
Spec:
Screen size - 13.3 in - 1366 x 768
Processor - Intel Pentium SU4100 - 1.3 GHz
RAM - 4 GB
Hard Drive - 320 GB
Only weighs 1.6kg

TBH for this budget you cant go wrong with the ul30a, check out the thread on the ul30a lots of good information.

thanks everyone, they all look like good laptops - now i really am lost!!

i just wonder though would they be powerful enough to run games, maybe i should spend a little more and get something a bit more powerful?

any suggestions?

I think FM2010 is mostly processor based if I recall, so you may want to prioritise the CPU speed when looking at buying
