I have a Lenovo H520s and I want to upgrade the spec of it. I believe I need a new case though. What cases would ye recommend? I don't want anything to bulky. Also the specs I need are something like this:
-OS: Windows 7 64bit
-Processor: Intel core i5 5th or 6th gen (3.0 Ghz+)
-Memory: 8gb RAM
-Hard Drive: 35gb +
-Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970

Is there any advice you can give me on the above spec, is there something I need to watch out for or need to change? Or is there something extra I will need?
The H520s does already have 8gb of RAM and Windows 8 64bit and the Intel core i3 3220 processor with 3.3ghz and 1t HDD.
All advice and opinions and ideas are very very welcome. Thank you so much guys.

Well you should be able to keep the OS, RAM and HDD for storage.

What you'll need is a new cpu, mobo, cooler, GPU, case and SSD for the OS.

How much would you like to spend?

Thank you very much for your response, it's much appreciated. Well I know that if I spend to much there is no point in doing it, I wanted to use the PC I have as a base instead of spending money on a completely new PC but if it was going to end up as expensive then I would save up and get a new one. What recommendations would you have for all the parts Decads listed? I have an idea of a good version of each part individually but I don't know much about putting them all together, and what parts work best together

Well it's hard to know whether your current case can accomodate a new GPU or not. You would have to find out yourself whether a new GPU would fit, and it doesn't look like there's much room for a decent CPU cooler either.

Around £600 is what I would be looking to spend, but you can go with a slightly cheaper CPU and mobo for example to bring that cost down closer to £500, which might be more towards what you're looking to spend.
