Ok so, I want to deep fry Turkeys.

I have most of the setup, I have a 15kg gas bottle that I have cut the top off, sanded it down, painted the outside with heat proof paint and covered the inside in oil to stop it corroding.

I have an outdoor gas ring that is fairly sturdy and the gas bottle will sit on that, I'll then slap that on a slab in the middle of the lawn.

I have a handheld infrared thermometer to monitor the temperature of the oil.

What I dont have is some method of extraction.

I thought about making like a cage with chicken wire, however that is galvanized, and apparently heating up zinc in hot oil can make it quite toxic.

So any ideas? The diameter of the gas bottle is 30cm and it's more or less 30cm deep (rounded bottom so can't be more accurate), I was thinking maybe some kind of stainless steel colander to sink to the bottom then write that up, but with what?

Any other ideas?

.. Jamies side-kick did this on one of the christmas food tv programmes , as well a uwaving and spatchcocking it (the latter 'won')
they just put the turkey in what looked like a large tin can with a couple of slots to allow oil to circulate ... find it on catch up.
