I need an idiots guide on how to reformat PC

Hi guys, I am wanting to begin a fresh with the PC as I do believe there are some corrupt files on the PC which are having an adverse effect on Itunes and music etc.

I believe I need to reinstall or reformat the PC for a fresh install but I am not a very technical person nor have a done anything like this before.

The PC is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit operating system. The discs I have are:

The Operating System disc
Roxio Backup Disc
Drivers & Utilities Disc
Microsoft Works 9

I need an idiots guide on how to do this as I completely have got no idea what to do or what order this discs need to be used in.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Just a thankyou especially to Clade for advice. I have successfully reformatted the PC and it was actually quite an easy straightforward thing to do so thanks again.

Better off not using the driver disc, but downloading the newest drivers online

What make/model is your pc?

Its a Dell PC, Studio XPS 8100.
