Just purchased a new rig from you guys.

These are the specs:

Motherboard - Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs)
Memory - 2046MB RAM
Hard Drive - 160 GB
Video Card - NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT ASUS
PSU - Coolermaster 700W
Operating System - Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2

HDD and DVD drive are using SATA.

I have built it and it all works sweet, except for one thing...

When i press the power button it begins booting, then it turns off. Starts booting again and gets a little further, then turns off again. Then it starts again and gets a little bit further. Sometimes it does it twice some times it can be five or six times...
Then when it does get to windows, I sometimes get a BSOD. I haven't managed to read it yet...

I really wanna fix this, I googled a bit and I read something about IDE voltages and stuff, but i'm using SATA...

Please help
Much Appreciation

ahh thanks a lot, now were getting somewhere

Removed links :\

I haven't changed any of the voltages, so It must be default.
How will I know what to change it to? And what should I change it to?

Thanks a lot.

I changed it to 2.1 and I got it again.

2.2 and it works...

Is that dangerous?
it said like 2.4 2.5 etc was harmful

Will i be okay with 2.2v?

I will try setting it back to 2.1 volts.
It's getting late now.
I'll try more tomorrow.

I am eventually gonna overclock, need to get this fixed first.

Thanks a lot guys.
I'll post again tomorrow.

Had one last try.
2.1V gives me worse than the normal voltage. With it I just get the BSOD all the time, it doesn't boot up further.
2.2V boots perfect.

well im not sure actually if it is 2.2V

its +0.3V of the norm?

Ill look up this FSB thing tomorrow

This problems is still occuring :\

I changed the voltage to 2.1V which is correct for the RAM
+0.3 of the boards 1.8V
But the problem still persists.

I turn on the computer and it boots up a bit then powers of then begins booting a bit, then it does this once or twice more before getting to windows, once in windows I get a BSOD(it comes and goes to fast to read) and it turns of. Then when I turn it on the net time, It goes on properly. Sometimes some startup services don't work and I have to reboot though.

What is this FSB thing and how would I go about changing it?
Or could it be something other than the RAM causing this?

Sync with your FSB which is 667mhz
On the ram page it says 1066?

or am i completely confused???
