I've got an exam tomorow and i want to create some anagrams to help me remember key points.

For example, if i take the first letter of each point i end up with the letters S U L D E C W.

Im a total dunce when it comes to this sort of crap so if anyone knows of some sort of program that makes anagrams for you i'd greatly appreciate it.

Cheers.

Do you have a lot to make or is it just that one? I'd probably go with something along the lines of Shiver Until Little Demons Eat Chilled Watercress as it sounds stupid which makes it easier to remember.

Anagrams are fine but i reckon it would be easier to remember if i have just a single word with each letter of that word meaning something. Such as...

Sovereignty
Unethical
Land
Inevitable
Echota
Court
Winter

But obviously, SULIECW isn't a word, so i wont remember it. I dont know whether aranging letters into a word is an anagram, mnemonic or something else.

Cheers.

When I had to remember the seven layers of the OSI model I just remembered the first letters. PDNTSPA. Just keep going over them and you'll be fine. Also, understanding what each one means helps immensely ;)

Actually, they're not. Acronyms have to make a word :p

acronym
noun
a word formed from the initial letters of other words (e.g., radar, laser)
What? That's rubbish. A set of letters that stands for something else is an acronym.

Merriam Webster said:
Main Entry: ac·ro·nym
Function: noun
: a word (as NATO, radar, or snafu) formed from the initial letter or letters of each of the successive parts or major parts of a compound term; also : an abbreviation (as FBI) formed from initial letters.

Quite right, these are mnemonics!

Anyway, this is something you have to do yourself if you have a chance of remembering them. Make them personal and funny.

// EDIT // punky_monkey and arcade fire ... you're both saying exactly the same thing?
