I am having a LOT of trouble with my IP35 pro. I am currently on v17 and am unable to reinstall windows using the windows boot dvd - it just hangs. I used a W7 boot usb that I sucessfully used last time and it just hangs. The only media it will actually boot off is a win98 boot cd. I dont have an IDE cdrom or Floppy drive.
I can boot from various win98 boot cds that I have found on the net, so i have tried to add the bios update files to those to no avail. every guide i have followed hasnt actually made the boot files visible at all, only the standard Win98 boot files are visible. The last one I created it said they would be on the Z: but I couldnt change to the Z drive - I tried all the drive letters and only A would work.
I have literally spent hours creating various boot disks, must have 10 besides me. has anyone any foolproof way to create a win98 boot cd that loads the additional bios files already in place on the A drive? Im trying to add http://www.lejabeach.com/ABIT/IP35Pro/m629b16.zip to the disk.
any help is greatly appreciated. im getting to the stage where im thinking of getting a brand new board.
P.s ive tried resetting the bios to see if that fixes the issue but it doesnt.
