EDIT: Ok I just found this

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-000-LB&groupid=46&catid=1837&subcat=

I have a CAT5 cable going from my Lnksys WRT54G going to my PS3 in the living room. I could simply install the above product in my living room and buy a PCI card for my desktop and all should be ok?

Have I got it right?

My setup is cable so I have a cable modem in my garage this in turn goes to a router in my spare room next to me PC.

The plan is to convert this spare room into a bedroom thus the router needs to go into the garage and the PC needs to go living room. The distance between them is give or take 14m and through 5-6 walls.

currently my Linksys wireless router B/G is very old (2002) but manages to give a wireless signal from the spare room to the living room (10m) however I doubt if it will manage the extra wall and extra 4 meters therefore time for an upgrade.

What I thought about doing would be to but a new Wireless N router (since I need a PCI card for my PC anyway might as well have an N ) and then try to have a booster somewhere between the garage and living room but I don't know what to buy.

I'd ideally like to go Linksys again as i found their GUI very easy to use however most places here in Belgium sell US robotics or D-Link?

I like the sound of this

How does it work though is 300Mbps realistic and what type of PCI card would I need since they all seem to be 150Mbps?

Also what do I need to buy to boost the signal?

Thanks for all and any help I hope to get the gear this weekend :D
