I am planning on buying an Elgato 4K60 Pro for streaming in 120 Hz on the Series X. Unfortunately I don't have enough PCI-e ports on my current motherboard as the Elgato requires Pci (4x,8x and 16x) only.

Anyone got any good ideas on how i can sort this while also keeping the build decent? Would be willing to potentially upgrade a part or two to make it easier. Don't want to spend over the top though.

Thank you

My Current Build:

Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler

Gigabyte GA-B250M-D2V Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

Corsair Vengeance LPX 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR4-3000 CL15 Memory

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Samsung 860 Evo 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Asus GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6 GB DUAL Video Card

BitFenix Nova ATX Mid Tower Case

XFX XT 400 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Options.

Get an atx motherboard which will give you the x4 slot you need .

You could go for a new cpu maybe 6 core and new motherboard

Get a pcie x1 card but you will be limited to a lower resolution, something like the Elgato Game Capture HD60 Pro, Internal PCIe x1 Card

It needs to be a x4/x8 or x16, the Elgato HD60 Pro doesn't run at 120/144hz. What sort of CPU would you recommend?

Let us clarify a few things, are you streaming Xbox games from your pc ?

Do you plan stream pc games ?
I plan to stream Xbox only. Now the Series X has released they have many games that will be running at 120 frames including the main game i play on stream. I have a 144hz monitor but only the Elgato 4k60 Pro runs at higher than 60

Your pc should do that so you could just grab a used motherboard something like a z270, mite need another 8 gb of ram.

Other option is new cpu motherboard and ram. Something like a intel 10400f , motherboard with 16gb ram. Approx £300.
