I'm looking for some help with the witcher ee. As soon as I start it up the sound crackles and pops, and doesn't let up, I've updated all my drivers and still no joy. I read somewhere that it only uses one core but both cores whip up to 100% usage even on the the title screen. If I alt tab out of it for those few seconds when you can still hear the music and the CPU calms down the sound is fine. I've lowered all the settings to minimum and it's still the same. I've changed my gfx card drivers aswell.
I'm playing on a laptop 2.6 c2d and 8800s in sli - even disabled sli to see if that helps.
The game probably won't be worth playing in the end but it's frustrating the hell out of me.
