I've been trying to find a game from my childhood, quite possibly the first game i ever played on a computer in primary school.

I can remember small but very rough images of the game, some details, and i've been looking for something similar all evening to use as a base for what I'm looking for....

...So far the most i can go on is that it looks similar to little big adventure 1, same sort of camera angle, but i definitely remember worse graphics than that(far more grainy). It was on primary school computers (whether they were acorns, dos or something else i can't remember) so i presume it was in some way a puzzle/adventure game.

Being even more vague, i remember muddy ground, lots of brown. It may even have been set in some sort of ancient times as I'm sure i remember a pyramid in it and primitive housing. Though i could be wrong there.

Any ideas folks?

EDIT: i should probably add we're looking at 1997 at the latest here. Would have definitely been a 90s game.

None of them either :(

It's going to be a really difficult one because it won't be a popular game i reckon or one that will appear in lists of known games....i can't even remember if it was any good, it was probably utter **** but i was like 8 or 9 at the time so to my mind then it was the greatest thing in the world.

Neither of those.

It had the same "look" in terms of camera angle, and grainy graphics as baldurs gate for example, a little worse than BG though.

The game angle is known as 'isometric'.

Or could it Heimdall?

Or Orbital?

Anyway IF it's none of these, post a game screenshot from a retro game that fits the most likely description. Camera angle, game style etc

That Heimdall game looks like the closest thing to what i remember. Sadly it's still none of these though.

I doubt it was any game where you kill anything that's for sure, it's more likely to be an adventure/puzzle/learning esque game i reckon.

So many 3d isometric games. Made me think of Cadaver, Cusader No regret/remorse, and an old favourite Head over heals :)
