I need several boots to succesfully boot

Now we getting somewhere. You better starting fresh with a new windows install onto the SSD. Copying a OS from one drive to another has always given me problems.

I know that I should start from zero, but it will be soooo long to reinstall everything... but I guess I have no choice if I want a smooth install

Tomorrow, I change the PSU. If that still doesn't work, I might redo a full install.

But the strange thing is, my system works very well when it's been running. It's just when it has been shut down for a few hours that it's difficult to start if off again.

Would you have an explantion for that ?

I dont sorry lol I dont use a ssd myself so not sure if there is other issue around that.

OK guys apparently didn't have trouble to boot the computer this morning... I upped the voltage a bit, so that might have been the problem?
I'm not screaming victory yet, might well start again later...

Thanks for the help!

Looks promising.
Forgot to ask if you have OC`ed your Cpu.

Yeah I overclocked it to 4.1 GHz, but with quite a high voltage (1.57 Vcore and 1.45 CPU/NB). I thought it was quite stable as I never had crashes or bsod when running occt and temps were under 55° load. But not being able to boot is not normal... LOL

As you did`nt mention you had made any changes in the bios, when i asked you, i assumed everything was at default settings. I would save your OC to a Profile and restore default settings. Then when you install your new Psu and it fires up OK, then load your profile and see if the problem still occurs.

I mean, I overclocked it before the problem occured. when it occured, I did a clear CMOS, and put everything at default settings, but it still would not boot properly. I upped a little bit the voltage yesterday (it is now 1.40Vcore), and this morning it booted fine. I have not put back my overclock settings yet!

Ok, just put the new PSU and so far it works fine. I think it might be a voltage problem since it worked this morning after I put a little more voltage

Actually to tell the truth I'm a big noob, the clicking sound wasn't coming from the PSU, but from the fan just next to it :(

What you like.:D

OK turns out I had a bigger problem. Today my pc shut down suddenly, and now it doesn't even powers up... When I push the power button, the led on the case lights up for a few milliseconds and lights off. The fans seem to start for an instant but stop almost instantaneously.
What's happening? Something is dead?
