I need sound help

Hi i got a jasper[arcade]second hand with pgr4/fifa 09 today but how do i get sound from the xbox to my pc speakers or headphones? I have no sound because its plugged into my projector, or do i need to buy a pair of xbox headphones? there must be more options than this?

im using hdmi on the xbox to projector and the speakers have a 3.5 line in/headphones have 3.5 line in

.............i have a xbox360 vga cable with 1 white and 1 red[both are sound?] could give it a go and try to match them up to speakers/headphones
