Since the price drops, I have been very tempted to get a 4870x2 and a 4870 for some Tri-xfire (I've heard tri xfire is the sweet spot). However, I only have a Corsair 520hx. Would that be enough for everything? current spec in sig.

i wouldnt think so, also x38 is pcie1 not pcie 2(i think), meaning there is a high chance a 4870x2 will be bottlenecked

The x38 boards are PCIe 2.0, one of the main reasons i went for it over P35, that and the two slots for crossfire =)

i think that a new PSU would be in order if you go tri-xfire, as you are very likely to be running your PSU at near load if not over

That. But you should be more than comfortable in the range of 750-850 watts.
