I need to post on gumtree.com.au, but get blocked by UK ip...options?

Hi,

As the title says....I am trying to post an ad on gumtree.com.au (my wife and I are emigrating to sydney 3rd week of jan and are looking to secure a rental) however gumtree will not allow ads posted from outside of the country...which poses us a problem.

I've tried to use a proxy (googled a list and tried a few) however this has been unsuccessful too..perhaps as they're public they are blocked?

Wouldn't mind paying a couple quid for one that would work as the wife has found a rental coming up which would be within a few days of landing and has her heart set on it.

Has anyone any recommendations and/or other suggestions so I can post on gumtree.com.au?

They might consider New Zealand as near enough to be relevant in this context, as we do with Ireland?

I've just tried posting one, I get as far as needing to reply to a registration email,
where does it fail for you?



"Ads posted from overseas: No overseas ads are accepted, Gumtree is for Australian based invidividuals and business only."

this would appear to be pointless in this context,
try opening a support ticket

I live in Melbourne, but I'm on holiday at the moment in Vanuatu, so if you can wait until the weekend when I get home, I'll sign up/post for you then. Send your details to my trust, if you want.
 
UPDATE: EarthVPN works brilliantly (£2.52 for the month, bargain), I'm connected to a server in sydney and have posted a quick half-hearted ad...to which I'll get browny points from the wife and she'll post a proper one.
