Thinking along these lines:

i7-5820K 3.30GHz (Haswell-E)
Asus X99-Deluxe II Intel X99 (Socket 2011) DDR4 ATX Motherboard
32GB of DDR4 Ram (make, speed ?) not sure.
CPU quiet Cooler (best ?) not sure.
Graphics card. not sure.
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming RGB 8192MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card (GV-N1080G1 GAMING-8
or
MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G 8192MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
or something better ???

Need it for graphics, video editing , games, Audio/music DAW.

Haven't upgraded in years so I'm a bit out of touch on what's the greatest & latest.
So need a bit of help.

Thanks in advance

Looking ok.

I'd swap the 5820k for a 6800k and add an sm961 m.2 boot drive.

1080 over 1070 for sheer horse power. If budget allows, go for the nVidia gtx Titan X (pascal) but it's £1100!

RAM: corsair vengeance ddr4, priced sensibly, reliable and fast

Any Quad channel kit of 2400MHz or above would do fine. Some Ram is too tall to fit under some air coolers, so low profile (Corsair Vengeance or Kingston Fury etc) would be a good choice.

Noctua or BeQuiet if you want a quiet air cooler (Just make sure your case will take a tall cooler). The Noctua coolers are not to everyone's taste (Beige fans) but they are excellent coolers. The BeQuiet coolers are also top notch and look a lot nicer (All Black) but they are more fiddly to install. You can check on Noctua and BeQuiet website for compatibility, as some coolers can block the top pcie slot on certain boards.

The Gigabyte G1 is a good choice for the gpu. If you are gaming at 1440p then the GTX 1070 would do fine. The GTX 1080 if you plan on 4K.

Thanks HoneyBadger.

Why the 6800k ? I was thinking the Haswell run cooler than Broadwell.

Maybe I should go for the 6850k ?

Don't want to pay £1000+ for a GPU. £500-£650 max.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help lee32uk.

Looks like the Corsair Vengeance for RAM.
I'll check out the Noctua and BeQuiet websites for a cooler.

Cheers.
