Hi Guys,

Need a bit of help. Okay so it's new years eve tomorrow and I'm off out. So I bought some trainers that are pretty much totally white, and they are new white if you know what I mean, they look a bit stupid. How can I make them look like I've owned them for a few weeks?

No mustard posts please :p

Surely new trainers are purchased with the intent of making them last as long as possible. Any procedure required to give an aging effect will have a direct correlation to shortening the life of the product. However, to answer the original question, I’d say walk in dry mud.

No they where bought just because my Diesel's have "developed holes". So just looking for a quick and easy way to make them look a bit more worn. Dry mud sounds a little OTT? Thanks for the suggestion tho mate,

I think washing machine will damage the trainers and under current weather conditions I don't think they'll dry in time for tomarrow. Post a picture, they can't be as white as you're making them out to be.

I think these days its fashionable to spend lots of money on new items of clothing, and then instantly make them look old and worn.

They where only £15 from sports world, because I'm a bit skint as I've just moved. They are like these but all whtie:

I'm a little confused as to why exactly this matters in the first place?

What odd bugger goes around judging people by the whiteness of their shoes?

Well, if you wear pukka dark jeans they will stand out won't they! :p
Try wearing lighter coloured jeans.

Lol they will I'm wearing grey/brown trouser jean things and they stand out a bit! ha ha, so thought there might be a smart way to make them look about a month old. The washing machine idea sounds like a plan. might give it ago.

Fair point Nix, they just look a little silly, normally I'd not give a flying f, but as it's new years I wanted to make an effort:)

Heh, yeah if you're out in clubs and what not they'll stand out worse than a <<insert funny note>>. I have the same trainers and they were white as hell at first.

The trouble is - anything that makes a stain quickly - is also likely to stain the shoes permanently.

I also honestly feel you could ruin these trainers.

To be honest (and no offense intended) I don't really care. The trainers I want are 59.99 and I'd rahter spend the extra on drinks tomorrow, so I just grabbed them.
