I need...

It has to be an oat crumble, I can't find my usual recipe.
But google it. No almonds in it though and make sure you have enough for at least 1.5" topping if not more.

Here's one of google, looks about right.

150g oats
100g flour
75g Light Brown sugar
100g butter, cubed

Oh and a pinch of salt and you probably already know, but don't pat it down, just chuck it on. But depth IMO is essential, hardly ever eat it out, as you get like 2mm of crumble. That's just wrong.

Ingredients

For the crumble filling
50g/2oz butter, plus extra for greasing
1.5kg/3lb 4oz Bramley apples, peeled, cored and cut into chunks
4 tbsp caster sugar
6 sprigs fresh lemon thyme, leaves only

For the crumble topping
150g/6oz butter
300g/12oz plain flour
150g/6oz caster sugar

For the thyme custard
200ml/7fl oz milk
200ml/7fl oz double cream
4 sprigs fresh thyme, leaves only
6 free-range egg yolks
75g/3oz caster sugar

Shamelessly swiped from BBC Good Food site - not sure about thyme custard though! Fruit easily changable!
