I/O Guard Question

Right, just got all my parts in and when I noticed that the IO guard has all this crap on it, how should I remove it before I install it into the case?

There isnt anything to remove on that it looks fine. the large tab like bits in the top left bend upwards ad into the pc they sit on top of the peices that go to wards them if that makes sence lol same with the other tab in the middle. a coup of square wholes looked blocked off remove thm parts if you mobo has something that goes there. if not leav em. thats how i do mine anyway

Bend the bits inward so they rest on the connectors when you've fitted the IO guard/backplane

Err, don't really get what you're saying? Got any images/videos that make it clearer?

Most of the bits that stick out should touch the requisite port on the mobo for grounding purposes.

Some of them should come clean off if there is going to be a port behind them though. For instance the square ones. Any of the others just needs bent up to allow the ports in.

just bend them away from the port so the port can go in

You are talking about the extra bits of metal that are getting in the way of the holes for the ports arent you?

the parts marked with red dots you bend upwards so they will be poiting inside the case at right angles they then rest on top of the sockest on the mobo.

the parts marked with yello dots you remove if they will cover up any sockets on your mobo if they dont leave them there.

everything else is fine
