I have these wee fins on the inside of my I/O shield next to every port hole, they are about 1mm wide and 4mm long. They are poking into my mobo ports and pushing the I/O shield away from it. This aint any problem other than it looks wierd, do i need those fins for anything, can i snip a few of them or should they be bent out so they go round the ports or what???

Cheers

They should be bent out to go around the ports. Each fin sits neatly over the ports on your motherboard.
They shouldn't be pushing anything away, if they are causing a problem just cut them off, they aren't intended for any specific purpose.

Sum of them look quite tricky to reach now that everything is fitted, dunno how to get to it wi'out removing the mobo, save it for a rainy day i think

The reason for them is to keep it taut and earthed. They are springy as they will always make contact. Don't bend them to go down the sides, they aren;t designed to do that.

Plus, who cares, they are at the back of the PC and hidden.

OK, well like all things round the rear, theres no reason for anything to be going on round there so i'll just leave them then.
