Are those plastic protection cases for your filters? I've been looking for some of them but can't find any.

Yup. I stole them off my dads old kit I think, so I can't help you with where to get them from im afraid. I would prefer an all in one container though. Something like a CD book thing, but for filters.

messiah khan: Is that tripod a 190XPROB & 322RC2? and is it any good? potentially my next purchase. ;)

I have the same bag and the same problem, my kit is growing too fast for it, only paid £15 for it so I can't complain.

I will post mine on the 'morrow.

Impressive kit so far. It's nice to see, and I've got a couple of ideas for bits and pieces I should have in mine. I'm going to make a small reflector as well, using a bit of white card and i'll probably put some foil on the other side so I can use either depending on the effect I want.

I see no one has managed to beat my plastic fly for the "most random item" award though :)

Yeah, my bag has served me well up until now and I only payed £25 for it. Im now waiting for the delivery of my "Naneu Pro Alpha Military Camo Woodland" bag http://www.naneupro.com/products/mo-a/ .

Yeah, thats a 190XPROB & 322RC2. They're both good. The legs are very nice infact and very versatile, and strong at the same time. The head although nice and very easy to use isn't quite perfect for me. I will be looking for a pan and tilt head eventually as the 322RC2 isn't accurate enough for macro work. Its also not possible to lock the movement open for panning etc. The shape of the head make the whole unit very easy to carry though.

I'm going to a wedding today, so slightly different requirements to normal (no need for a 400mm or macro stuff).
So it'll be:
Canon 1D
50mm F1.8 (this is going to earn it's pay in low light conditions)
Tamron 28-75 F2.8
Canon 70-200 F4 (should be good for close ups)
Spare battery, and charger for overnight
x4 2GB CF cards
LensPen
Canon EX430
Lots of spare batteris for the flash
Velbon tripod

Why cant you show it? Sorry if its a daft question but I just come here to look at the pretty pictures :)

Just a guess, but perhaps he hasn't got another camera to photograph his camera with!

I need a new bag :(
in my rover II aw I squeeze in the following

D200 incl grip
macro rings
nikon 28-200
Sigma 17-35
nikon 80-400vr
nikon SB800

and in the top compartment, 6 filters, charger, spare batteries for the flash, Archos AV400

The bottom (camera) compartment is now pretty much full.

Any one recommend the new Lowepro Vertex 200?
I would like to be able to use just the one rucksack and stick my MacBook Pro in there as well.

I have a Nova 1 AW bag, it's tiny though so can only fit my camera and 1 lens so all my other gear just sits in the cupboard. Which reminds me I need a new bag in time for holiday.

Anyway in my imaginary bag that fits everything is:

400d + battery grip,
18-55mm (kit lens),
50mm f1.8 + lens hood to fit,
70-200mm L f4,
Sandisk extreme III 4Gb,
Hoya CP filter 52mm & 67mm,
Hoya UV filter 52mm & 67mm,
3 batterys (2 in camera, 1 spare)
Cleaning cloth,
Pec pads,
Sensor swipe,
Eclipse fluid,
Rocket blower,
Lens caps and stuff,
Video cable,
USB cable.

That's about it.
